Christy Finley

Managing Attorney

Christy joined Fisher Law LLC in 2025 as the Managing Attorney and mentor for all associate attorneys at the firm. Christy is licensed to practice law in Missouri. Before joining the firm Christy was the founder and owner of a successful family law firm that she retired from and closed in 2025. Her passion for family law and helping families brought her out of retirement and led her to Fisher Law LLC to continue assisting familes in a new capacity.

Christy received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. She then attended University of Missouri at Kanasas City School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctor degree. Prior to entering into private practice, Christy provided clerkship services to the Family Court Commissioners in the 16th Circuit Court, Jackson County, as well as working with Clay County CASA.

Additionally, Christy is a skilled mediator who has mediated several thousands of cases and assisted many parents and families in dispute resolution services. She was frequently appointed as a Guardian ad Litem in contested child custody cases where allegations of abuse and neglect were made.

Christy loves to garden and enjoys cooking. She spends time with her wonderful children and grandchildren when not working. She supports all Kansas City sport teams but she is an avid Chiefs fan!
